Who We Are

 

Friends of Murphysboro is a not for profit community group with several ongoing projects that range from annual events in Riverside Park, such as the Big Muddy Monster Brew Fest (October 22) and the recent sightings of the Big Muddy Monster itself, to Riverside Park renovation projects like the Veterans Remembrance Walk and the newly-completed Freinds of Murphysboro public dog park. A diverse group of volunteers working together to improve life in Murphysboro and Southern Illinois by facilitating economic and social growth through community involvement and fundraising events is the group’s mission. Positive motivated creative individuals who are interested in making a difference in the community through hands-on involvement are encouraged to join FOM.
